Bartender Saturday Job

Base Game Late Night

Originally released 09/12/2018

Update Log:
– 18th January, 2022 ~ Added Italian translation
– 25th September, 2020
 ~ Added Chinese translation

I bring you a Bartender Saturday Job for Teens! Part of a set of 12 Saturday jobs for your teenage sims.

For this career to show up in game, you’ll need Nraas Careers Mod.

It was made with patch 1.69 and should work on all patch levels, although if it doesn’t, please let me know.
The career is in English, and supports German, Russian, French, Dutch, Chinese and Italian translations (thanks to Tankalein, Victor, SecretX, Lessien Vardamir, vkey and Franco for translating!). I’ll include translation instructions at the end.

The career is based at the Bistro and is for Teens only. To change the designated rabbithole to suit your own requirements, I have a tutorial HERE for you to follow. There are only three levels since there is little chance of a promotion in this kind of job.
The career promotes into my Bartender career when the sim ages up.
There are uniforms for all levels in this career. You can edit career outfits with patch 1.31 and above, so I highly suggest using this feature to give your Sims a uniform of your own choosing :)
There are no opportunities.
There is one custom tone; Practice Mixing Drinks, which builds the Mixology skill.
You only need the Base Game and Late Night for the career to work.

Career Levels

1. Table Cleaner ~ Wiping the tables clean seems mundane and if that’s what you’re thinking, then you’re right. It is. But cleaning up after spilt drinks and sticky marks is important and proves your competence when it comes to the hygiene side of restaurants.
§4/hour
Hours: 4.00pm ~ 10.00pm
Days: Saturday

2. Waiter ~ It seems boring but lots of your friends are doing it, so it must be good! Serving the drinks to the customers is vital and working on your tableside manners is good practise for when eventually, you’ll be allowed to work behind the bar.
§5/hour
Hours: 12.00pm ~ 6.00pm
Days: Saturday

3. Bartender ~ Your people skills are good. You’re the cheery young bartender most people love to see and talk to and you’re gaining skills in mixing drinks all the time. Keep up the good work, you’ve got some talent there!
§7/hour
Hours: 2.00pm ~ 8.00pm
Days: Saturday

Music Business Apprenticeship

Base Game Late Night University Life

Originally released 11/03/2013

Update Log:
– 18th September, 2020 ~ Added Chinese translation

This Apprenticeship can promote into the Music Career. Late Night and University Life are required.

Now, these Apprenticeships are, essentially, part-time teen careers. Your teens can go and apply at the associated rabbit-hole building and land themselves a three-level apprenticeship. To change the designated rabbithole to suit your own requirements, I have a tutorial HERE for you to follow. They will earn money each day and will work from 4pm-7pm, Monday to Friday.

Once your teen is promoted to Level 3, they will receive a reward certificate in their Family Inventory to put up on the wall to show off their achievements. As an additional bonus, when your teen ages up to Young Adult, when they apply for the connecting career, they’ll start at a higher level!
Each Apprenticeship has its own custom uniform. There are, currently, no opportunities. It’s challenging enough getting the teens to complete homework and build up the required skills, without throwing extra opportunities into the equation!

How The Promoting Works

When your teenage Sim ages up while employed in an Apprenticeship, they will appear to stay in the apprenticeship. In order for them to get into the “Adult” career, your Sim needs to apply for the job via the Rabbithole, or on the newspaper or computer, as normal. They will appear to only be in level one of the “Adult” career when they join, but after a few moments, it will change to a different level.
If your Sim is at Level One in the apprenticeship, they will not gain any career advancement.
If your Sim is at Level Two in the apprenticeship, they will promote into Level 4 in the “Adult” career.
If your Sim is at Level Three in the apprenticeship, they will promote into Level 6 in the “Adult” career.

Please don’t ask me to change this! It’s the way to code works in Twallan’s Careers mod and I can’t change it.
The Apprenticeship is in English and supports Spanish, German, Russian, French, Dutch and Chinese translations.

The Apprenticeship is located at the Theatre and has a custom uniform for all three levels. It focuses on the Bass, Guitar, Piano, Drums and Social Networking skills.

Uniform for all three levels.
Uniform for all three levels.

1. Marketing and Promotions Assistant ~ Intermediate: The first step of your Apprenticeship has begun! While practising your musical skills, you’re assisting in promoting the gigs of the local bands and singers and giving your opinion on posters and television and radio advertisements. You get to meet the local musicians up close and see that they are just Sims. Using your social networking skills, you’ll advertise the latest gigs and interviews on your blog and your favourite social networking sites to get the word around. It’s an exciting job and you can meet so many new people and get quite a name for yourself around your local town.
§10/hour
Hours: 4.00pm ~ 7.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

2. Venue and Stage Crew ~ Advanced: When the bands have a gig, somebody has to set the stage up beforehand and make sure the lighting is ready, the microphones are working and the set won’t collapse on the band during the performance. You’re also responsible for booking the venues well in advance, so don’t think of leaving it to the last minute. The band won’t be as understanding as your teacher might be!
§15/hour
Hours: 4.00pm ~ 7.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

3. A&R (Artists and Repertoire) ~ Higher: So, after all this time behind the scenes, you’re finally the one on stage, and not just to do a sound and lighting check. You’re one of the artists! You only perform in the local area, but once your name gets out (and lets face it, you’ve had experience of social networking), you’ll be ready to take on the world! Congratulations on your dedication!
§20/hour
Hours: 4.00pm ~ 7.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

There are three custom tones; Practise, which builds all four music skills; Network, which builds the Social Networking skill and Sit Exam, which boosts overall performance.
